The problem most couples encounter is… money. How can you have a dream wedding on a tight budget? It’s easy, hire a wedding consultant.
The unfortunate myth is that wedding consultants are an expensive and unnecessary luxury. The truth is most brides can not and others should not live without them. The problem is that most couples are not sure exactly what a wedding consultant should provide, so they ask family and friends to be responsible for ensuring that the most pertinent details of their day are perfect. Choosing a wedding consultant is an important process. Though it may seem counterproductive, a great wedding consultant can save you both time and money, while reducing the stress of planning a wedding.
There is a distinct difference between a wedding consultant and a wedding coordinator. A coordinator is usually an on-site associate of a venue (e.g., a church, a hotel, etc…) who facilitates the part of the wedding and/or reception that takes place on their property. Their main purpose is to ensure that the venues rules and regulations are followed, while providing services to your guest on-site. The coordinator may also provide a list of vendors that have worked in the venue before, but this list is not tailored to the needs or budget of the bride and groom.
